Oriola Oy is an Oriola-KD Group company. The Group’s slogan is ‘The Channel for Health’. This slogan describes the unique role of Oriola-KD and its subsidiaries in the pharmaceutical market: Oriola Oy is a reliable and safe channel between pharmaceutical companies and end users of pharmaceuticals.
Innovation and technology
In the pharmaceutical wholesale business it is essential to ensure that personnel are well trained, product quality and safety are of the highest standard, products are correctly stored throughout the pharmaceutical distribution chain, pharmaceuticals are always available, and deliveries are punctual and fast. Our high-quality pharmaceutical logistics guarantees compliance with these requirements.
Changes in the pharmaceutical markets and increasingly developed and complex medicines also create new challenges for product handling. We are continuously developing our operations in order to meet these challenges. We employ the latest technology in the industry and wish to be at the forefront of the pharmaceutical logistics business.
Quality
We launched the Five Star Company quality programme in spring 2010. The programme involves a systematic appraisal of all Oriola’s main processes.
The objective of the quality programme is to develop operations and promote an operating culture that supports quality, safety and reliability. Our organisation consists of qualified experts in the pharmaceutical business, and we have made use of this expertise in building and implementing the quality programme.
The quality programme has also enabled us to develop our technical operating environment. We have focused our efforts on the pharmaceutical cold chain, validation of cold chain containers, and monitoring temperatures during transportation.
Products and services
Our customers know us as a reliable and professional partner. We listen to our customers’ needs and are constantly developing our product and service selection.
We recently launched a service for importing pharmaceutical products for unlicensed use, and this service is intended specifically for customers who buy these pharmaceuticals. We have also launched the OriolaPro service portal for pharmaceutical companies. The Consumer Health unit is forging increasingly close co-operation with pharmacies and the grocery trade, and lends its expertise to these for the purpose of creating a consumer health product classification.
