CEO and management
The President and CEO is in charge of the day-to-day management of Oriola and is assisted by the Oriola Management Team.
The Board of Directors appoints and dismisses the President and CEO of Oriola.
The President and CEO is in charge of the day-to-day management of the company and its administration in accordance with the Finnish Companies Act and the instructions and orders of the Board of Directors. The President and CEO also ensures that accounts of the company comply with Finnish law and that its financial affairs have been organised in a reliable manner. The President and CEO is assisted in his work by the Oriola Management Team. The President and CEO’s service terms and conditions are specified in writing in the President and CEO’s service contract, which is approved by the Board of Directors.
Ms Katarina Gabrielson was appointed as Oriola Corporation’s CEO as of 10 May 2022. Previously she was working as Interim CEO as of 15 March 2022, and as Vice President of the company’s B2B business in Sweden.
Ms Gabrielson joined Oriola in 2012 as Director for the Business Unit Pharmacy in Sweden and served as Director for the Retail Business Unit during 2017-2018 and Vice President of Business Area Retail during 2019-2021. Before joining Oriola, she has worked in the retail sector in various roles within companies such as Axfood and Reitan. Ms Gabrielson is also the Chairman of the board in Kronans Apotek and a member of the board in GIRP (the European Healthcare Distribution Association).

The members of the Oriola Management Team are nominated by The Board of Directors. The Oriola Management Team convenes regularly to address matters concerning the entire Group. The Oriola Management Team is not a decision-making body. It assists the President and CEO in the implementation of Group strategy and in operational management, and facilitates the Group-wide distribution of information concerning the entire Group.

Katarina Gabrielson was appointed as Oriola Corporation’s CEO as of 10 May 2022. Prior to her current role, she worked as Interim CEO as of 15 March 2022, and as Vice President of Oriola's B2B business in Sweden as of 1 January 2022. She has been member of the Oriola Management Team as of 1 January 2019. Petri Boman was appointed Chief Supply Chain Officer and member of the Oriola Management Team as of 3 October 2022. Mr Boman has an extensive and versatile experience within similar positions in supply chain management. Prior to Oriola, he has worked as VP, Supply Chain Management and deputy CEO at Martela Corporation during 2013-2018, as partner and co-founder at management consulting company Content Group Oy during 2011-2013, as Executive VP, Supply Chain Management at Kemira Oyj during 2007-2010, and as Group VP, Supply Chain at Tikkurila Group during 2005-2006.
Hannes Hasselrot, b. 1980

Hannes Hasselrot was appointed Chief Commercial Officer on 19 September 2022, and he assumed his role on 3 October 2022 after finalisation of combining Oriola's and Euroapotheca's pharmacy businesses in Sweden. Prior to that Mr. Hasselrot worked as Vice President of Oriola Consumer. He has been member of the Oriola Management Team as of 1 December 2021. Mr Hasselrot has a solid experience from retail and e-commerce businesses. He joined Oriola’s Consumer business in 2019 as Digital Sales Director and served as Chief Operating Officer and Commercial Director during 2021. Prior to Oriola, he has worked in various roles in retail and e-commerce, among others as Global Retail and E-Com Director for Peak Performance during 2017-2019, COO and CPO for Eleven AB during 2014-2017 and International Retail Manager for Jack & Jones during 2012-2014. Mr Hasselrot is also a board member in Vasakronan.

Timo Leinonen was appointed Oriola Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Oriola Management Team as of 1 December 2022. Mr Leinonen has a solid background from financial leadership positions in various business environments. Before joining Oriola, he worked as CFO at StaffPoint Oy during 2018-2022, at Lassila & Tikanoja Plc. during 2013-2017, at Ixonos Plc. during 2008-2013 and at Terveystalo Plc. during 2006-2008. Mr Leinonen is a board member in Kronans Apotek AB, Ekokuljetus and Finncont.
Niklas Lindholm, b. 1968

Niklas Lindholm was appointed Oriola Corporation’s Chief People Officer and member of the Oriola Management Team as of 1 August 2023. Mr Lindholm has a broad background within HR leadership roles and strong experience in leading organisations through major changes. Before joining Oriola, he worked as Chief People Officer at Fiskars Corporation Oyj Abp during 2018-2022, and as Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Paulig Ab during 2008-2018. Mr Lindholm has also worked in various international leadership roles in Human Resources at Nokia Corporation Oyj during 1996-2008.

Petter Sandström was appointed Oriola’s Legal Counsel in 2008, General Counsel in 2012 and member of the Oriola Management Team as of July 1, 2018. Before joining Oriola, he worked as an Attorney at Castrén & Snellman Attorneys.
